CCHL Recap | Wolves, Hawks and Junior Senators Win Wednesday Evening

Ottawa, ON – There were three games that took place in the Central Canada Hockey League on Wednesday evening. The Renfrew Wolves hosted the Brockville Braves, where the Wolves took the game 13-1. The Hawkesbury Hawks traveled to visit the Rockland Nationals, after 60 minutes the Hawks won 5-3. The Ottawa Junior Senators hosted the Pembroke Lumber Kings, the Junior Senators won 4-2.

F | Brockville 1 Renfrew 13

The first period saw Renfrew’s Noah VomScheidt scoring twice, alongside goals from Jack Dolan, Austin Fellinger, and Mathieu Paquin. The onslaught continued in the second period with Kai Billey netting two goals, while Jack Dolan and Noah VomScheidt added two more each. Peter Legostaev managed to get one back for Brockville. The final period saw Renfrew maintaining their pressure, with goals from Noah VomScheidt and Ethan Smith. Goaltenders were tested on both ends, with Brockville’s Dustin Riff making 20 saves before being replaced by Edouard Piche, who made 33 saves. Renfrew’s Nolan Lane started strong with 22 saves, and Curtis Fritschler closed the game with 3 saves. 

F | Hawkesbury 5 Rockland 3

Rockland started strong in the first period with a goal from Trystan-Felix Tremblay. However, Hawkesbury answered back in the second period with goals from Maxime Charbonneau and Aidan Stubbings. Rockland kept the game tight with goals from Jack Treacy and Samuel Dumont in the same period. The final period belonged to Hawkesbury as they secured the win with goals from Alex Fournier, Maxime Charbonneau, and Cody Horner. Hawkesbury goaltender Dimitri Pelekos made 28 saves. On the other side, Rockland’s goaltender Sebastian Resar made 17 saves. 

F | Pembroke 2 Ottawa 4

The scoring began in the first period with Liam Cardiff netting one for Pembroke. Ottawa responded strongly in the second period with goals from Xavier Guillemette, Justin Murdoch, and Jasob Renaud-Viau. Pembroke’s Jayson Alegria managed to narrow the gap with a goal of his own in the second period. The final period saw Ottawa extending their lead with a goal from Liam Lucas. Goaltender Kevin Jones for Pembroke, made 24 saves, while Ottawa’s Connor Shibley made 33 saves.
